Eastern countries, such as Japan, had their own strong traditions of architecture. The Katsura Place in Kyoto was built in the early 17th century, at the time of baroque and Jacobean architecture in Europe. It is silsim, element building and one of the most perfect example of traditional Japanese architecture.
